Since 2006, Public Outreach has been committed to doing business responsibly and seeking opportunities to make a difference. That means providing services for non-for-profit organisations, growing and nurturing our people to create a difference, and in focusing on meaningful issues with like-minded partners to enable positive change.
The founders of Public Outreach originally came from Greenpeace Canada. At the time, they were working in the new world of Face-to-Face fundraising that shaped the fundraising landscape of the early 2000s. Our founders soon identified a gap in the market. Why was there no such thing as a fundraising agency? With this initial seed of an idea, they set out to create an agency that had the feel of a non-for-profit with the expectations and expertise of an agency.
In this idea came the opportunity to build purpose in a new group of young people who were struggling to build careers that they could be proud of and excel at. By inspiring these young people and providing more accessible ways for the public to support the causes they care about, they created the Public Outreach we know today.
Fast forward to 2013 - 2015, Public Outreach evolved again. These 3 years saw the steady arrival of fresh ideas and a move into different areas. We saw an increasing diversity of people who share our passion and belief that there are multiple ways to be a catalyst for change. Since 2013, our best people have re-invigorated and reinterpreted Public Outreach’s rich history. Our people have injected a spirit of now and evolved our offering to include a wider range of programs and services across more channels than ever before.
The non-for-profit landscape and the way its supporters live has changed, so we’ve adapted to better serve the needs of them and our people. Now more than ever, we are shaped by being business-minded, supporter-obsessed, data-inspired, human nature astute, and culturally aware. We create bespoke programs for each organisation, rather than using a ‘one size fits all’ approach. It’s our people which make us, define us and drive us to do better. We are engineered to collaborate and connect every step of the way.
So, we aren’t just a fundraising agency. Well, not by the dictionary definition anyway. We are a fully integrated creative network with a passion for relationship craftsmanship.
